Cookie and browser-storage notice
Last updated: 8 October 2026
NurseNote uses a small amount of essential browser storage so the service works. Optional analytics remain denied unless you actively accept them.
Default: analytics off
Advertising storage and personalisation are disabled. Google Tag Manager and its optional analytics tags are not requested until you choose “Accept analytics”. Choosing “Essential only” keeps them unloaded and analytics denied.
What may be stored
Browser technology changes over time, so names and lifetimes may vary by provider and configuration. The categories and purposes below are the controlling description.
Essential
Examples: Consent choice, session/authentication, guest allowance identifier, interrupted-request reference, theme and interface preferences
Purpose: Keeps the service secure, remembers your choices and enables daily access and account journeys.
Required for the feature you choose to use
Product analytics
Examples: Google Analytics identifiers and NurseNote’s minimised funnel events
Purpose: Shows which public journeys are used, whether note improvements complete and where reliability needs work.
Only after you accept analytics
Experience analytics
Examples: Microsoft Clarity identifiers and interaction measurements
Purpose: Helps identify layout, navigation and usability problems without intentionally recording source-note or draft text.
Only after you accept analytics
Essential storage
This includes local or session storage used for your consent choice, authentication, the random guest allowance identifier, an interrupted-request reference and interface preferences. The recovery reference includes only a random ID, timestamp, format and detail choice; it contains no note text, draft or input fingerprint and is cleared after confirmed delivery or an expired request. Blocking it may stop parts of NurseNote working. The current note improver does not intentionally save source-note or draft text in browser storage.
Optional analytics
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may set or read analytics identifiers only after consent. NurseNote masks note and enquiry fields and does not send source-note text, generated drafts, patient information or free-text messages into product analytics events.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Use the button above or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer at any time. A changed choice controls future analytics use. You can also delete existing site data through your browser settings.
