Terms of Use
Last updated: 14 September 2026
1. Agreement
NurseNote is operated by Ian Mayor, trading as NurseNote in the United Kingdom. By using the service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use NurseNote. Questions can be sent to nursenotesupport@gmail.com.
2. What NurseNote is
NurseNote is a writing and structure assistant. It transforms facts supplied in fictional or genuinely de-identified shorthand into a clearer draft and provides a list of changes, checks and unresolved ambiguity.
It is not a clinical record system, clinical decision-support system, medical device, diagnostic service, treatment service or substitute for professional judgement, supervision, emergency procedures or local policy.
3. No identifiable patient information
You must use only fictional or genuinely de-identified text.
- Do not enter names, dates of birth, NHS or record numbers, addresses, contact details or revealing combinations.
- Do not paste a real clinical record merely because obvious fields have been removed.
- Do not use NurseNote as the place where a patient record is created, stored or approved.
- Follow your employer, placement and information-governance requirements.
4. Human review and no clinical advice
Generative output may be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading. You must compare every draft with the source and correct it before any further use. NurseNote does not diagnose, prescribe, recommend treatment, interpret clinical significance or decide escalation.
Never delay care or emergency action while using NurseNote. In real practice, follow local policy, use approved systems and seek an appropriate clinician for a clinical concern.
5. Free use
The public service currently provides three successful note improvements per day without payment. NurseNote may change free allowances, features or availability prospectively to protect reliability and cost. A failed generation should not count as a successful free use.
6. 30-day Early Access
- Early Access costs £9 as a one-off payment for 30 days of access linked to the purchasing account.
- It is not a subscription and does not renew automatically.
- The exact expiry is shown in the account after payment. Access ends automatically at that time.
- “Unlimited” means normal individual use of the note improver. Automated, shared, abusive or unusually high-volume use may be rate-limited or suspended.
- Payment does not change the patient-information prohibition or make NurseNote an approved clinical system.
If the paid service is not provided with reasonable care and skill or does not match its description, contact support. Mandatory UK consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Because Early Access begins immediately at your request, tell us promptly if you wish to cancel or if access has not worked as described. Any cancellation, proportionate charge or refund will be handled according to your statutory rights, the access already supplied and the circumstances of the request. Nothing in these terms removes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Request help or a refund review at nursenotesupport@gmail.com and include the account email and payment date—never patient information.
8. Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for keeping account access secure. You must not:
- share a paid pass or bypass usage, access or security controls;
- automate bulk submissions, scrape, attack or disrupt the service;
- upload malicious content or use NurseNote unlawfully;
- claim that NurseNote output is approved by the NHS, NMC, CQC, a university or an employer;
- use output to impersonate a professional, falsify a record or conceal inaccurate documentation.
9. Age and individual use
Direct access is intended for people aged 18 or over. Early Access is an individual product, not an organisational licence, integration or approval for deployment. Contact NurseNote before any proposed institutional use.
10. Educational content
Guides and examples are general educational information, not patient-specific clinical advice, legal advice or approved local templates. Check current authoritative sources and local policy before relying on them.
11. Intellectual property and your text
NurseNote’s interface, branding and original educational material are protected. You may use generated drafts for your lawful personal purpose, subject to these terms. You retain any rights you hold in source text. NurseNote does not claim ownership of your submitted text.
12. Availability and liability
NurseNote is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free output or suitability for a particular employer or clinical setting. Keep your own copy of information you need and do not rely on NurseNote as a storage service.
To the extent permitted by law, NurseNote is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by prohibited use, failure to review output or reliance on generated wording as clinical advice. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
13. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms when the product or law changes and will update the date above. Material changes apply prospectively; a paid access period already purchased will remain subject to the terms governing that purchase except where a necessary security or legal change applies.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
